Keeping up...

My WORD.  it is so hard to keep up with everything!  Emailing, facebooking, blogging, all this technology I don't know what to do with myself!

We've been spending our days split between packing the old place and getting the new place ready.  Flooring is almost done, there's still painting to be done but it looks really great.  We have good taste.

We are hoping to see you all at our open house on July 17th from 5-8pm.  There will be wine and munchies, but more importantly you will get to see our new space!  Please please come!

Our hours

Due to our upcoming move, as well as shooting outside, we do NOT have regular hours.  If you are planning on coming by, you may want to call to ensure we are in.  For right now, our phone # is 425.385.3473

Ode to cats.

If you know Rachele and me at all, you know we love dogs. But, bet you didn't know that we both have cats. Rachele has two tabbies, and I have a 13 year old Persian cat (he's a foster-cat) pictured below.

I have never been a cat person, but decided to provide a foster home for one adult cat at a time through Purrfect Pals (no-kill cat shelter in Arlington, WA). Since then, I have learned so much about cats, and why people love them.

So here's to cats! Here's to all of their funny sounds, their purrs, their fuzzy faces. Here's to furry paws and prickly tongues, cats in the laundry basket, the linen closet, and under the bed. Even though I'm a 'dog person' at heart, I sure have a new appreciation for kitties!

If you want to add a kitty companion to your home, check out Paddywack here in the Town Center - they have kitties from Purrfect Pals in their store. Also, check out Petfinder.com, you're sure to find the perfect cat for you.

We're MOVING!

In case you haven't heard, WE'RE MOVING!

Our new address will be 8731 Maltby Rd, Suite 4, Snohomish WA 98296.  We are hoping to be at the new location full time by July 1st.  Stay tuned!

Collages and Canvases

One of the best problems to have when you have your photos done is to not know which ones to choose!

Here are a couple examples of our collages that have been made into canvases. This is a great way to display several images at once and have a completely custom piece of art work of any size. You choose your photos and together we create a piece that matches you, your home, and the personality of the photos.

I understand there are a lot of people out there that consider themselves photographers. It's wonderful to be able to share your photos almost instantly with friends and family over the internet. But, I believe there is no substitute for a beautiful print, canvas, or album that can be kept forever.

A weekend of flyball!

This past weekend we were on location Saturday and Sunday photographing a flyball tournament in Seattle. You're probably thinking, "What the heck is flyball??"

In short, flyball is a dog relay in which there's a series of jumps a dog runs down, hits a 'box' that releases a tennis ball, grabs it and heads back over the jumps. I started flyball with my little dog, Georgia, because she has so much energy I didn't know what to do. And I love it!

It was an exhausting weekend, but we had fun.

teeny tiny treasures

Most people don't know it, but we actually work with a really great jewelry company that does gorgeous photo jewelry. Sound cheesy? It totally isn't. I thought so until I saw their work, and it's beautiful.

The first photo is of a little lapel pin/tie tack that a client ordered. He's a lawyer, so he'll be able to wear his little girl's photo to work! The second photo is a charm, it's about the size of a quarter, it's for mom to add to her charm bracelet.

If you're interested, there is a ton of different jewelry as well as Christmas ornaments, key chains, etc. Lots of nice stuff, makes great gifts for Grandma, too.

So much to do, so little time!

Whew!  It's been a while since I've been able to blog, there's been so much going on.  If you haven't heard,

WE'RE MOVING OUR LOCATION!

We are sad to be leaving the Mill Creek Town Center and its wonderful community of merchants, but financially we must make a change.  What does this mean for our clients?  Less sales tax for one. =)   We are so hopeful that our current clients will continue to refer their friends, and will be willing to follow us to our new location and embrace this new change!

Where is it?  (Drum roll please....)  Maltby!  We will be moving to a really awesome space right near Maltby Cafe.  It's a little farther out for some of you, but hopefully we are worth those few extra minutes in the car.  While we are excited about the new space, there is much work to be done!  Soon we're going to begin the 'facelift' if you will.  Tentatively we will be in our space full time starting July 1st.  But make sure you stay in the loop - become a fan on facebook and be sure to be on our emai list.  We'll post information as soon as we have it.

Baby to little boy...

This is Breckin, and I can't believe how 'little boy' he looks! We've photographed Breckin since he was a teeny baby, and when he came in yesterday (at 18 months) I was amazed at how grown up he is.
We are so blessed to have clients like George and Christi, and are so thankful they keep bringing their little guy back! Isn't that just the most innocent face you've ever seen?
